Description: This medical exhibit illustrates the normal anatomy of the larynx. It features an antero-lateral (front turned slightly) view of a male silhouette showing the location of the trachea and larynx with a detailed superior (top) view through the level of the true vocal cords. The following anatomical structures of the larynx can be appreciated: hyoid bone, thyroid cartilage, epiglottis, vocal cords (vocal ligaments), arytenoid muscles, and arytenoid cartilage.
