Description: The orientation of the knee joint, the medial and lateral meniscus, and the free-floating cartilage in the joint space are depicted. Prior to surgery, the joint is prepared by filling it with fluid. Afterwards an arthroscope and a surgical tool are inserted to visualize and repair the torn meniscal cartilage.
