Description: This 3D animation shows what happens to the body during wet and dry drowning. When the body is submerged under water, the body inspires and the lungs fill with water. During a dry drowning, the body inspires a small amount of water, which causes laryngospasm, and prevents air from entering the lungs even after the water has been removed.
