Description: Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a neurological disorder characterized by a range of  throbbing to itchy sensations in the lower legs, leading to an uncontrollable urge to move the legs. The cause is attributed to a disruption in the pathways of the brain’s basal ganglia circuits that use the neurotransmitter dopamine to produce muscle activity and movement.
